Actually, the witch hunts you're trying to illustrate as "dark ages" were from around 1400 to 1785, putting them from late medieval to early modern history.

Nobody is talking about forcing anybody. I just want full control over my body, and if the time comes that I've had enough, then it needs to be my control and my business alone.

We need both the best quality care through our lives and the right to control our deaths if we wish. We aren't stopping people choosing their death,we are merely forcing them to travel thousands of miles alone if they can afford it or use terrible means to die alone. That's so cruel.

My sister is in a care home, in bed, and in pain. She wants to keep living, and I support her with all my heart. If I end up like her, I will not be okay and will want the right to die under my own terms. I believe I am also worthy of support. It's not disregarding, it's different circumstances.

The two things are completely compatible. The right to a decent and dignified life as well as the right to choice and dignity in death. I personally would like to have both.

As it stands, complete strangers like you are in control, and people like me won't have a choice if we need one. I don't believe you would wish to help, only to control. Other people's bodies should be for themselves to decide upon.
