Not currently. I cleared everything away a while back as i could hardly tell who I was talking to on what. Tbh I’ve promised myself a hermit like detox. It’s been good to chat though. Here’s us at lambing when we still had a smallholding

I’m entirely sympathetic to trans people, but the hostility here is just bewildering.

Yes, it’s a shame, but I can’t be spending my time trying to make conversational sense of attacks from accounts that feed on hostility. It’s #FBPE - we’re all transphobes apparently.

No no, the driven nastiness on here is something I hadn’t experienced on Twitter. Seriously unpleasant. Your criticisms are eerily exaggerated and off the mark. It seems unhealthy to stay and I reluctantly agree I should have nothing to do with it. Well done!

I disagree about it doing nothing: there’s been a lot of local organising, and it has been an emotional oasis for everyone who felt the alienation of a far right coup. I think it is reversing Brexit. I didn’t use it for confrontation, it’s been mostly v enjoyable within broad political agreement.

Well I can see that, and if we can’t avoid causing each other constant suspicion it may be as you say too toxic. I’ve got to say the behaviour on here has been worse than I ever remember on Twitter. Keep your pitchforks and torches waving at us - all of us indiscriminately - you may see us off.

It’s my understanding we can develop separate communities here and need not annoy each other. I do hope so.

I have blocked the odd person for various dodgy opinions and condemned a few but it was mostly racism and fascism, and I can’t say they were fbpe.
You don’t get to talk closely to 15000 people, I followed them & they followed me; it was about numbers, making clear not everyone in uk is racist..

It’s true, if in my conversations about Brexit someone popped up with a transphobic comment I’d jump on it. I don’t think it’s happened since 2016. I do care about transphobia and a good number of other things. I was minding my fbpe business when someone leapt out at me like the Spanish Inquisition.

Oh sorry, what can I say- there’s a self proclaimed woke fbpe person who is describing the unresolved situation as it appears, and seems prepared to credit JKR quite a lot. As it happens I don’t as she seems unevolved, old fashioned & uncharitable. But he’s pro EU and I want to get Brexit undone.

Those old breeds are great. We had Shetlands who were very lively and sometimes hard to catch, but would approach and sniff your ears if you sat still with your back to them.

Of course, if any such bigotry rears its head in my primary issue of concern - to work to reverse Brexit - I would condemn it or block.

Of course, everyone’s rights should be inalienable, no disagreement, but I think the push against the rising far right in this country and others is very important and it’s risky to just dismiss it
