genuinely, i think about them all the time, and my goal with these changes is to help myself fall back in love with these characters and their stories in a way that will make completing this duology possible.

if things go according to plan (which, for me, only happens 30% of the time) we will be looking at to protect an empire going live in summer 2026.

- re-writes for any areas that feel forced/rushed

i still have every intention of completing to save an empire, to save an empire’s bonus chapter, to protect an empire, and to protect an empire’s bonus chapter.

- january 2026 | updates will resume on a (hopefully) bi-weekly basis

some of the changes you can expect:
- draco and hermione pov’s being split into their own chapters
- extended draco pov in chapter three (previously chapter two)
- general tidying up of formatting/some minor word choice
