The White House has fired a *second* career prosecutor in addition to the one atop this thread.
Reagan Fondren was acting U.S. Attorney for the Western Dist. of Tenn. Instead of just removing her from that role (which is common) they fired her from her career job.

Two prosecutors were dismissed out of the blue, notified by a terse one-sentence email stating no reason for the move other than that it was on behalf of the president himself.
