Brooklyn got through surgery today! He's taking the night separated from the rest of the house for some peace and quiet, to the chagrin of dutiful little sister Jelly Bean.

The look Jelly Bean gave us after we finished restraining her so she wouldn't bite the vet taking her temperature is very, very funny to me.

I think the animals missed me while I was visiting my cousin this past weekend. Brooklyn came up to be little spoon first, then Wobbles took up station on my leg, and when I was stuck Jelly Bean jumped onto the back of the couch and skirted to the side, off of which she leapt into my arms.

Happy Birthday to my (omg) newly minted teenager, Edwin! I already played Teenagers by MCR for him, and he danced to it gleefully.

Brooklyn turns 12 today, and the birthday boy has been Blessed by the diva queen known as Wobbles. He's not even using his claws to stay on there, which is very generous for him.

Mister Brooklyn is going to be going into (minor) surgery on March 18, less than two weeks after his 12th birthday. He gets a quick neuter and an abdominal scan to check if anything else is going on, and then the vet is optimistic he'll make improvement after. I'll keep updating.

A criminal (pictured left) committed vandalism this morning (pictured center), prompting local Mama to do an emergency repot for the cacti and succulents, which are currently adjusting to their new habitat (pictured left).

Update on the pups -- Jelly Bean has made a full recovery and no further issues. Brooklyn is still on the specialty gastro food and having trouble healing bc they think he might have cancer in his testicles. So. At nearly 12 yo, he has to be neutered. Further news when we get it.

These are the dogs, Brooklyn (11 y.o AmStaff) and Jelly Bean (2y.o Frenchie). Something's wrong with their tummies and the initial parasite tests came back with nothing, so we need to dig deeper, and I want to get them seen ASAP, but the vet doesn't do payment plans without half down.

Jelly Bean got told to knock off licking Brooklyn's ears, so now she is Sulking.
