You know what this moment in America feels like to me? It feels like May 20, 2013 in my hometown. I was standing outside my grandma’s garage looking at a massive ef5 tornado heading straight for us, wondering if it is going to turn or directly hit our neighborhood. My instincts tell me 1/2

🚩🚩🚩 As a mom of a kid with Epilepsy in the state of Oklahoma, Dylan’s law sounded like a step forward for people living w/ Epilepsy. However, upon reading the bill, I encountered some amendments to duties and structure of the State Commissioner of Health position that I’m deeply concerned about. 1/4

I was honored to once again stand alongside my fellow Oklahomans as we protested at our State Capitol yesterday. Thank God there are good people, who are aware of what is happening in our country. We are not going to stop resisting until the threat to all of us is over. I hope you will join us.

PSA: My child is not over medicated. My child is taking a benzodiazepine daily to LIVE. She is on a last resort medication for epilepsy that they only prescribe when nothing else is working. We have to speak up.
