Yeah, like, it’s absolutely right that they were in the tournament, but it would have been crazy for them to win. They’re just not on a level with most of the other teams in either performance or popularity. Let ‘em get some reps in and build gradually, I reckon.

Seems like a crazy match stipulation to try to make work on PG television. Not saying it can’t work, but it does require a high level of creativity to convincingly sell the extremity and peril of the stipulation in a safe, kid-friendly manner.

Interested to know, did you have any thoughts on the Ed Sheeran/Marvin Gaye plagiarism thing? As I recall, Gaye’s estate successfully sued Sheeran for copying the chord sequence and general ‘vibe’ of ‘Let’s Get It On’. Love Marvin and no fan of Ed, but seemed like a dangerous precedent to me.
