Really sad to hear Marianne Faithfull has passed. She put out some really good albums. This is my favourite one.

No surviving pictures but it was a 1982 Bedford Van similar to this one. Had it from ’97-’99. Many great adventures, many unrealised plans for refurbishment. All ended by rust and by neglecting to engage the handbrake correctly while camping on banks of the Whanganui River.

REVIEW: Dyson Vacuum
Carpet: Great at picking up stuff you can’t see. Useless at picking up stuff you can.
Wood/Lino: Literally faster to use a broom.
Maintenance: Clever bagless design means it takes longer to clean the vacuum than it does to vacuum the house.
3/10. Would not buy a Dyson again.

This graph scares me. Even accounting for El Niño this is looking like the sort of graph you’d point to when future generations ask when the tipping point was.
