I am your constituent from Van Nuys, Democratic volunteer, donor and am writing to you again to ask that you vote to remove Chuck Schumer and the current leadership from the Senate. His caving both times on the CR is leading to the collapse of the healthcare system as we know it. Once I can see. Twice, after the successes we had is unforgivable. As a small business owner and provider of mental health services to over 400 clients a week I am now faced with helping people with mental health challenges continue treatment without insurance or the new restrictions on MediCal. As a business owner, we are facing a 17% increase in premiums. Because we are not sure if there will be enough paid demand for our services, I am bracing for possible reduction of our 33 employees and have decided not to hire. As a volunteer, I spent evenings texting voters to pass Prop 50. The lack of commitment from Schumer and his elected front people was insulting and discouraging. It also made me commit my volunteering time to organizations focused on supporting candidates in primaries that are willing to fight for a pro-democracy, anti-corruption agenda. Please remove Schumer and show that you are loudly hearing your base.
