Nailed it. Celeb cameos have taken on a decided 'eh? eh?' gratuitous pointing at how clever the filmmakers are, or how many celeb mates they have willing to rock up. John Cusack and Anjelica Huston in The Player were so subtle you nearly missed them. Genius.
