Finished The Empusium. It’s taking a place on the shelf with one of my favorite reads of all time. Like all grest books (The Grapes of Wrath, Les Miserables) it tells a story while holding up a mirror to historical, spiritual, and societal themes that need to be considered and changed.

Maybe the lesson unfolding is that we embrace the teachings of Jesus & stop using him as a “get out of jail free card” like the so called Christian right does. Maybe we forego the mega churches, the condescending judgements of the goldspun pulpit and commit to being decent humans. #decencymatters

8 degrees this morning in the Poconos. Sun shining through the treetops being reflected off the ice crystals on the mountain stream below looking like cascades of diamonds. My 10% Scandinavian genetic make-up loves this.
