We continue to build out additional applications. We just added a function to back calculate for spawn timing if embryos are observed hatching or emerging, as well as building out application to non-fish species. We currently have an example in the works with tailed frogs!

This software could be used in variety of applications ranging from planning field work or activities that might impact developing embryos (e.g. culvert replacement) to broad ecological studies.

hatchR allows users to easily create species- or population specific parameterizations to account for species not included in the base software or account for locally adapted populations.

hatchR works by using effective value models which allows users to account for variable development rates as daily temperatures vary. This circumvents traditional ATU models which are less accurate and precise than hatchR.
