A bereavement charity supporting families affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young person has been praised by Wrexham’s Member of the Senedd. 2Wish Cymru aims to ensure parents and family members who face the unimaginable loss of a child are not alone. The charity’s mission is to ensure all those affected receive the bereavement support they need and deserve.

The chief executive of Wrexham Council will step down from the job at the end of the year. Ian Bancroft has served in the top role at the local authority for the last six years. In October 2024 he announced plans to leave the role "at some point in 2025". This afternoon a meeting of the full council took place in part two.
