Though other games like Dinkum do that style of fishing a lot better with a more forgiving first bite timer and then a reeling minigame. In general if fishing is difficulylt or highly timing based I'd like to see difficulty settings. A friend of mine was so bad at stardew fishing they couldn't do -

Out of these i've played Stardew (currently playing again!), rdr2 and webfishing and I gotta say I agree with these, these are the fishing minigames I have most fun with as well. Fishing like in animal crossing where difficulty is just reaction speed is totally the opposite for me in terms of fun. -
