We have an Ilvie that had gas hotplates that drove me crazy. We swapped them out for two IKEA induction plates and love them, they are a bit slower than the $65 version but so much better. We use the flat hotplate as a place to put stuff when we are cooking. Works a treat and cleanups a breeze.
