Frank's opinion on Movies/Books/Games he's seen/read/played for the first time (RW = Rewatch). Most things are Fine™️ tbh
The Roses? More like…Olivia Colman and Benedict Cumberbatch are fun in this perfectly Fine™️ but rather shallow film.
August 30, 2025 at 7:50 PM
Nobody 2? More like…Bob Odenkirk has fun fighting his way to another perfectly Fine™️ romp through another one of these movies. These could be so much better based on the talent involved.
August 28, 2025 at 2:23 AM
In the Summers? More like…Alessandra Lacorazza’s directorial debut is a wonderfully directed portrait of two kids and their complicated relationship with their estranged father, who is played wonderfully by René Pérez Joglar. Honest, raw, and well told, you should definitely see this.
August 27, 2025 at 8:03 PM
Weapons (2025)? More like…Zach Cregger does it again! Following up the wonderful “Barbarian” with this equally creepy, engaging and sometimes hilarious film shows the sketch comedy to horror film pipeline that Jordan Peele blazed is still a strong one. Definitely see this great time at the movies!

The Naked Gun (2025)? More like…a consistently funny legacy sequel that preserves the comedy stylings of the original trilogy but still didn’t hit as much with me as I thought it would. Maybe my expectations were too high? Maybe the marketing was too much for me? idk. It’s worth a watch.
August 10, 2025 at 2:11 AM
M3GAN 2.0? More like…a perfectly Fine™️ sequel that boldly switches genres into the action comedy space, but doesn’t quite have enough to be more than it is. Allison Williams gave us nothing in this role and feels like she’s in a different film at times. Seen it if you lied the first, Pass if not.
August 10, 2025 at 2:06 AM
The Fantastic Four: First Steps? More like…this was probably the most disappointed I’ve been leaving the theater for a Marvel film. The plot zoomed forward but the story gave no time to make me care about the stakes or characters, particularly Ben Grimm. Pass and watch “The Incredibles” instead.
July 26, 2025 at 8:47 PM
I Know What You Did Last Summer (2025)? More like…a perfectly okay legacy sequel to a perfectly okay franchise. It’s Fine™️, though I really liked the last couple of scenes and I wish the whole film was like that. This wasn’t a waste of time but check out the new Scream or Final Destination instead.
July 21, 2025 at 9:14 PM
Hurry Up Tomorrow? More like…musically talented fboy Abel sings his way through an ineffective therapy session that, honestly, I kind of enjoyed! Trey Edward Shults brings a lot of his style from “Waves” over while Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan overachieve in supporting roles. It’s pretty good!
July 21, 2025 at 3:29 AM
Eddington? More like…one of Ari Aster’s more dense and cynical films (which is saying something!) but still very enjoyable the whole way through. Great performances, great story but I may have to give this another watch to fully grasp everything. See it!
July 20, 2025 at 4:14 PM
Karate Kid: Legends? More like…another wonderful chapter in this silly, yet earnest franchise. Ben Wang is a great lead in this film alongside Ralph Macchio and the legendary Jackie Chan. Great fights, fun characters and a well told story, I really enjoyed this, see it!
July 14, 2025 at 2:31 PM
Superman (2025)? More like…James Gunn did a Terrific job bringing the Man of Steel back to his wholesome roots in this fun, bright and action packed film. Definitely see it!
July 12, 2025 at 7:54 PM
Squid Game? More like…a great show about the horrors of capitalism which would probably be more effective if it wasn’t itself the Mickey Mouse of Netflix. Great show, but everything around it makes it hard to feel the point of the show land.
July 11, 2025 at 8:53 PM
I Still Know What You Did Last Summer? More like…a huge step down from the first film. I just spent the runtime wishing I was watching “Jason X” or “Halloween H20” instead. Don’t waste your time with this. Pass.
July 11, 2025 at 8:48 PM
Doubt (2008)? More like…WOW! Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Viola Davis, Amy Adam’s and Meryl f*cking Streep act the hell out of this incredibly tight script by John Patrick Shanley. Fireworks in every scene especially Viola’s one scene that will blow you away. 10/10 an acting masterpiece. See this now!
July 11, 2025 at 8:44 PM
I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997)? More like…a fun 90’s slasher that definitely earns its place in the same conversation as “Scream” and “Candyman”. I like those other films more but I think it’s still a good time at the movies.
July 11, 2025 at 8:40 PM
Hercules (1997)? More like…there is one banger song in this by-the-numbers hero’s journey and I think that messed up my enjoyment of this movie. It’s mostly Fine™️ but I just prefer a lot of other Disney Animations instead.
July 11, 2025 at 8:36 PM
Sorry, Baby? More like…Eva Victor does a great job in her first feature starring and directing this well made film. Lovely characters, an interesting story, laugh out loud moments and a runtime under two hours, you love to see it!
July 11, 2025 at 8:33 PM
Heads of State? More like…Idris Elba and John Cena are perfectly Fine™️ in this film equivalent to cotton candy: Light and sweet but ultimately empty and forgettable. See these guys in the much better “The Suicide Squad” instead.
July 11, 2025 at 8:28 PM
He Got Game? More like…not my favorite Denzel/Spike Lee collab, but decent enough to give it one watch. Ray Allen tried his best, but it’s clear why he stuck with basketball and not acting after this film. It’s Fine™️
July 11, 2025 at 8:25 PM
High and Low (1963)? More like…a beautifully shot thriller that kind of lost steam for me after an amazing first half. The ending is incredible also and worth the wait, but I just felt the section between them dragged a bit. You should still see it, it’s an absolute classic.
July 11, 2025 at 8:23 PM
28 Years Later? More like…Danny Boyle and Alex Garland do it again in what is probably the best film in this franchise. More morally grey characters in well defined universes please! See this because I’m so excited for what happens next!
July 11, 2025 at 8:18 PM
28 Weeks Later? More like…what a fantastic sequel. More scares, more complicated characters that make you give a sh*t, and one hell of an opening that has to be one of my favorites of any horror film ever. See this one!
July 11, 2025 at 8:14 PM
28 Days Later? More like…Danny Boyle is incredibly good at his job. Wonderful characters, plenty of scary moments, and a filming style that keeps you on the edge of your seat. This is an absolute classic. See it!
July 11, 2025 at 8:12 PM
Elio? More like…a perfectly Fine™️ kids version of Mickey 17 that wasn’t a waste of time. Pixar can do better than this.
