I believe in a brand of Christianity, in a religion of unconditional love for all of my human siblings. One where we are all free to be who we are, what we are, without judgement or prejudice, without bigotry. The doctrines taught by and of Jesus promote love, above everything else.

It is often said that the Book of Mormon is scripture written specifically for our time. It is another testament of Jesus Christ, and just like the Savior's teachings in the Bible, there are those who would pervert them to hurt and control their fellow humans.

This happened during a time of contention for Alma's people, as they were about to be at war, and the division in their community would be disastrous. It took violent action by those who were valiant enough to fight for the liberty of their loved ones to prevent themselves from falling into ruin.
