I am curious on your opinion on the talk going around that he was shot from a couple hundred yards away. If that’s the case, the amount of people that can make that shot has to be incredibly small, right?

But I’m sure you can understand why people would believe it was set up. The theatricality of the whole situation fits Trump’s idea of showmanship to a T. I firmly believe that man would’ve gone into theater if not for his family (not saying he’d be good at it, just that he’d try)

The info we get is that the kid bought a decked out AR from his dad and practiced with it for a couple days leading up to the event. And he wasn’t spotted until just before he fired. A competent shooter with that kind of setup would’ve gotten the hit and not hit that firefighter and others

And you are correct that I have never shot an AR. Biggest gun I’ve shot was a 32 long rifle my grandfather had when I was a teen

I just feel like someone who’s gun of choice is an AR-15 would have better aim than that. IIRC the person in question wasn’t an amateur gun owner. The man presents as an easy target. I’m fine with being wrong but I can’t picture someone who had such a decked out gun would barely hit him.

Cartilage doesn’t heal as quickly as he pretended and is extremely difficult to reconstruct. You’d notice a real difference in how his ear looks if it had been hit with a bullet. It was entirely theater, but people’s understanding of why it happened is what’s off the mark

I think it was a hoax but mostly because of the kind of person he is deep down. The blob wishes he was a bigger star than he is, so he staged something theatrical. He should’ve picked a better place to be shot at than his ear though.
