I love horror movies and wish it were raining
So I vote for color. I also think more people would be put off by B&W-only than how many would ever notice a lower contrast.
The biggest issue is how much more does it cost? I'd pay $30 more, but maybe not $100 more.

I would be fine with either but the contrast difference only seems noticeable with a direct comparison—also, putting more products in the world with color e-ink helps that tech get better.
