A new Australian-first study estimated what it would take to end rough sleeping in parts of Western Australia and South Australia. The study used a Housing First style approach, which combines housing with support services. To end chronic rough sleeping in Perth and Bunbury, the research says about 1,300 supportive homes are needed to the tune of about $500 million over five years to build and operate them.
