My mom used to live in an area like this. She had a monthly bill. I asked, "what kind of fucking scam is this? Where are your taxes going? Do you pay a bill for police protection and postal service, too?"

Authors don't just have good ideas for stories to tell, they also have an exceptional skill for telling that story using language.

I feel like Cliff's Notes already exists, so this boiling down of literature is unnecessary if you really want to KNOW a book, to interpret it in your own way.

I've always felt language is not unlike a musical instrument. Not just English, but all languages. When a thought or idea is crafted in one language, you risk diminishing the strength of that message when you change the language, even if it's still in the same tongue.
