War for Thanksgiving pt.5 -Corn

Today’s War for Thanksgiving is an ode to corn. This was the thing the colonists were being thankful for in the first place. Here are a few examples of types and techniques from precolonial agriculture.

I’m going to run a short (20 part) video argument here.
Several of my friends are putting up their Christmas trees and I object to the loss of Thanksgiving.
If they had moral objections I’d be fully in support but they don’t and I feel this complicated holiday is worth thinking about.

Lots of time and love into tonight’s costumes. We were fairies of the court of Titania from Midsummer Nights Dream. Thank you @thehistorichaven.bsky.social for teaching us Shakespearean dances and for hosting the revels.
