Majority didnt vote for him. He only got 32% of votes from eligible voters. The rest voted Kamala, 3rd party, or didnt vote.

It makes no sense, but they figure they will have the military at their disposal and they’ve criminalized protesting, so any uprisings will be easily squashed.
