After having a dog for 12 years not having one is odd. I keep going to change his water except there's nothing to change. I wonder why he's been quiet for ages, then remember. Being able to sleep in beyond 6am is quite nice, though. And the absence of puppy pads makes the house look bigger.

We had him cremated and he lives in my room for now. Paula doesn't feel good about him being 'on display' in the house. She's not good with grief. We don't know where to spread him so his fur clippings, paw prints, collar and he's on my shelf.
