It’s a cool theory, I wouldn’t be surprised if it was true but there isn’t really enough evidence. Plus our brains haven’t evolved enough to even understand it if it’s true.

I think there are some people, for better or for worse, are born without the religious gene. Your story is similar to Richard Dawkins'. He was never attracted to that very human experience.

Not at all. 🙂 I think it’s worth believing and it has made all the difference in my life, but I know some people have been hurt by religion and I respect that some people want nothing to do with it.

Thanks Docteur. I suppose I take issue only with the idea that “god” is only a concept invented to explain what science cannot, a “god of the gaps.” You’re right, that god certainly does not exist.
