I used a lens flare I rendered in Blender to get the shape and color for the lines. It's an add-on called Flares Wizard. Layer set to overlay with a little painting on top. Here's a quick walkthrough:

Thanks! 😀 I usually paint at 6K at 300dpi. I was trying a new style for her eyes with this piece, and there's maybe a half-dozen layers in them. Honestly, there's not much special about the method I used, except that I added a line pattern in the iris. Here's a closer look.
