Correction, not by corps paying the pretax, but by riders who are dependent on corporate vs public services, part of the reason public services are under thriving. It’s about ease and not just safety concerns.

I grew up taking the bus (still do) and there was crime on busses even back then, I’ve witnessed it. I agree that Max was sketchy during and right after Covid, but things have stabilized, and public transportation is populated and has addressed safety issues.
