This dovetails with something I’ve mused about for awhile. We’re all being treated as property rather than individuals with control over our very existence. The gatekeeping of medicine and medical treatment, the insistence on telling us how to appear, act, live. If we’re property we have no rights.

The only reason I view anything at all on CBS are the shows (NCISverse) I have been watching for a long time and which help me stay sane. Otherwise I'd never tune that network ever.

It isn't perfect as the USA is currently dealing with its own political troubles with Trump and his followers. But it is still a wonderful place to be if one puts all that aside. One of the most active volcanoes in the World, Kilauea is here, this is a screen grab from the USGS live stream . . .

The cats I've had who loved the rain were all Maine Coon or part Maine Coon. The current rain lover is a mixed breed Tuxedo . . . his coat is not as heavy as the Maine Coons I've had but still he sits (in the rain)

Yes you have, and done so with much courage whilst somehow still smiling. I am a cat mom of 7 furry ones (all rescues)

One of my indoor/outdoor cats will sometimes sit in the rain, with his fur all fluffed up, just watching the birds flit around (don't worry, he just watches). Eventually he comes inside.
His fur is the perfect rain coat . . . while the outer coat is damp, the undercoat is actually quite dry.

Big Island is an amazing place, born of volcanoes reaching from sea level to a bit more than 13,000 feet in the sky. Kīlauea is one of the most active volcanoes in the World. The current eruption has been going on since 23-Dec-2024 in episodes of fountaining . . . 36 so far. 👇
