We planted the parsley last spring, and it started to bolt in March of this year. But when I learned that parsley is a host plant for Swallowtail butterflies to lay their eggs on I decided, this parsley is gonna be theirs! I found several caterpillars and eggs this morning! I’m so excited #gardening

Swallowtail sighting in the high grass field behind my community garden 😍 I planted parsley specifically for these guys so I hope it finds its way to the butterfly garden we have! #gardening #butterflies

I need some tree help from my #gardening peeps! This is a drake elm tree that seems to have some disease possibly? The trunk has these white bumps all over it, and no foliage growing on the center branches. Google is no help. #trees #gardensky

I just love this time of year. Sunset garden chores, like amending the soil and checking out all the new growth on everything at my community garden 🫶🏻 #gardeningfeed #gardensky #zone9garden

Today in the garden: amending soil for the blueberry bushes. Blueberries prefer acidic soil, with the ph below 5. So I added an acidic enhancement to the soil & topped with fresh soil. Here’s hoping the bushes like it & give us berries this summer! What are you doing in your garden today? #gardensky

I sent this to my #bravobestie and they responded perfectly 🥰

Today I harvested my first broccoli head. Seeds planted on November 24th… 90ish days later and she tasted amazing! #gardening #growyourownfood

Hey Gardeners I need some help! My Meyer lemon trees in the community garden I manage have what looks like a fungus? Can someone confirm and possibly recommend treatment? #gardening #gardensky #lemontrees

Here’s my garden back in the fall before Hurricane Helene destroyed it. With my garden spider I named Osiris, that guy was with me for months!

Since it’s technically the flower 😏🫶🏻 I’m just really excited about my broccoli

Tree planting day! I planted a black gum tree in the neighborhood park and 3 bald cypress saplings in pots until they are bigger and can be planted in ground. Our community lost hundreds of trees from Hurricane season last year so the city did a tree giveaway to help replace what we lost. #gardensky

This weekend I went to Crystal River, Fl and swam with manatees to celebrate my upcoming 40th birthday. I can’t put into words how absolutely incredible the experience was. #bucketlist #swimmingwithmanatees #gulfofmexico #piscesseason

Yes the flowers only last a day. But during August and September I’d have 5-6 flowers opening each day so I enjoyed them so much. I couldn’t believe how big okra plants get! I have a 3ft raised bed, and my okra plant was 6ft tall in that. I needed my husband to clip the top okras for me 🤣

My coverings seemed to work! We got over 3-4inches of snow here in South GA. But the kale, lettuce, broccoli and carrots all seem okay! I guess we will see once the snow melts and the temps warm up. #gardening #southernsnow #winterstormenzo #zone9garden
