Someone wants to get it tattooed on his FACE and also called it Chinese so I can only imagine" me: "oh..... yeah give me a second" a screenshot of me explaining the aforementioned "Chinese" text that a person wanted tattooed on their fucking FACE me: 「そばにいてね」which means "stay by my side" me: the second one translates to "life is a game" but it's written...wrong? technically me: by using 「です」at the end its a little too uncharacteristically formal? me: the correct way to write it and have not be as janky would be 「人生はゲームだ」 them: "LMFAO Okok I was so concerned as to what it ACTUALLY said and my coworkers google translate was not wanting to translate the second one" me: "also the second one all the characters are flipped the wrong direction" me: "that's why it wouldn't translate" them: "HELPPPPP Bro got it off Pinterest 😭😭" I respond to their last message with a "😂" reaction, because what the fuck is wrong with people a picture of the various JAPANESE--not CHINESE--text that some random guy wanted tattooed on his fucking FACE without even knowing what any of it meant. also some of it was mirror flipped, so the Japanese couldn't even be translated by Google Translate. The text as follows: 「そばにいてね」Translation: "Stay with me" 「人生はゲームです」Translation: "Life is a game" (Weirdly Formal).
