Free standing art is a bit tricky because the apoxie will stick to whatever you set it on to set up - another learning curve. I find that hand sanitizer works well to clean your hands, but don't wait too long to do so. I mix with gloves, but use my bare hands to work (not sure is that's good advice)

The hands on knowledge of its workability throughout the stages is helpful in knowing what parts of your creation to work on. Water is great for smoothing, but works best when it's sticky. As it starts to set, water smoothing will crumble the surface.

There's a learning curve in the setting up stages and how much you can mix up at a time and efficiently use while working with it. I work in small batches. It's stickiest when first mixed, great time to form your piece to its base or other object....

Thanks! I love the product! I've been using it for years. I love that it is it's own 'glue' to whatever you form it to and it doesn't need to be baked or fired. A bit pricey, though.

Kambo frog, not Cambo.... I mispelled it, but can't find a way to edit or delete the post.
