I no longer try to manage other people’s feelings. Too often when someone hears of my diagnosis they say “I’m so sorry” when what they want is reassurance. I don’t have the energy to do that outside my family. I’m fundamentally happy though.

I too live with an incurable fatal disease. ALS aka motor neuron disease. I am a happy person. I live while I can and do what my body allows. Being angry is not useful or helpful. Yes the disease is a pain in the ass. That does not keep me from enjoying life!!!
