This is precisely how I feel. I often wonder if Christianity was never truly about Christ, but created by man to control us. Jesus was a Socialist, sent to change the darkness in our human hearts, but darkness destroyed Him and continues to even today. Makes sense to me.

I choose to stand for the anthem at my grandson's football games, but I refuse to place my hand over my heart. I love my country, but the flag is just another weapon the far right uses to claim patriotism, and they are so far removed from it.

I thought about deleting all the social media platforms I have enjoyed for quite a while now. I can feel the depression and anxiety that I've been fighting since I was a child, and thought I had beaten, rising in me more each day.
