Since I know what happens in the comics. I think the writers are playing with the audience's nerves in that scene; because the first time I saw it, I didn't understand so much of the reaction. Still, I saw the danger, but now I saw what this scene means.

I love in this movie, the way, he is the best Friend everyone wants.
He does his best to give his friend a beautiful wedding and stays away from his wife because he loves her.
