Gotta say I'm a die-hard fan who's willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. He wouldn't have spoken so candidly about the experience if he didn't have a glaringly big blindspot & zero self-awareness of what he was doing. His family were probably foremost in his mind when he made the decision.
