The reflection of the hotel and blue sky in the sunlight can be seen on the glass condo front. Le Plateau Neighborhood buildings with a bright red modern Art sculpture in the foreground. The trees have lost their leaves but there are some green bushes. The buildings have staircases up to their front doors, and each has a unique design window and various colors - reds, Browns, black and grey - on their frontage. The Redpath museum interior, perhaps in the Victorian style, with sunlight shining onto the hardwood floors in patterns cast from the decorative openings in the handrails.

I was sent a healed photo of this pixiu that I tattooed last month-ish and I'm so happy about it. The forest fire smoke really created the perfect diffused light 🙃
A pixiu tattoo that fills the upper outside of a right arm. The pixiu is a Chinese mythological female creature that has a dragon head, lion body and bird wings. This design was based off of jade statues and so has a more angular look to it than my usual art, which I really enjoy. Grey clouds float in the background.

Tiger chimera. Love the unusual placement of this one - when you have short arms but want to go big. The heads sit high enough that they don't distort when the elbow bends.

Planting and watering the garden. And Komo being a dog 😄
My dog is curled up on the grass while I line a planter with newspaper. My dog decides to say hello while I'm busy planting things. I feel a nose poking my bum so I turn to her. My partner waters a large planter box filled with baby plants with a tiny watering can. We will be getting a hose asap. Komo the black and white short hair dog enjoys the sun and warm concrete by laying flat on her side.

I've never had a real garden before but here we are! Going all in!

The closest I came to gardening was 3 small bean plants on my balcony in 2020 and they became infested with mites immediately and yielded 5 microscopic bean pods the entire summer.
A cart loaded with 6 bags of container soil and a bunch of baby plants from the nursery. Nursery plants - cucumbers, tomatoes, arugula, marigolds and green onion. Nursery plants in a box on a cart. We are in the condo building's elevator. My dog looks up at me with a confused look on her face.

Here's an earlier point in the painting that I thought was almost interesting. I'd like to try to keep my paintings looser, but it's hard to know how. I'm glad I took a photo here, maybe it'll help me see what to do in future paintings.

I painted with oils today 🥳 It's been so so long. I didn't know what to paint so I grabbed my mom's orchid that happens to be flowering.

An update now that it's had a few days to chill out and the bandage was removed.

I suggested dotwork to allow for more precision around the scar tissue and to hide scar texture. It should also heal more easily due to less trauma to the skin, which is great for a placement like a hand.

Posting unedited photos here (tw: big scar). The fresh tattoo is swollen but not as swollen as if I'd used a different technique. I included the stencil photo so you can see how it'll look once the swelling goes down.

Outlined a griffin backpiece today. Really excited to finish this next month!

A recent blastover that I did on a hip/ribs. I love doing these! The last photo shows the old tattoo, which was not done by me.
