It’s an electoral stunt. The next big thing to keep the voters afraid and voting for Republicans is going to be Mandami and socialism. If the Ds who voted for this think it will help them get elected next time in their own districts then I am not going to get my knickers in a twist about it.

This wasn’t the only event in Tacoma, there was a sign waving event with 2-3,000 more people.

what i see is a white house whose ambitions outstrip its resources, who did not count on facing mass resistance, and which is scrambling to escalate the situation in hopes that a display of force will make people shut up
