I simply don't understand the need for speed so many drivers have. The speed limit exists for a reason, it's not merely a recommendation. I know a road that has a 35 mph speed limit, yet people regularly go 50+ on it. It's insanity, and it terrifies me too because cars are incredibly dangerous.

I love the wholesome positivity of Bluesky. It's basically what Twitter is supposed to be, without the daily drama and fights. It's actually a real community.

I love Nausicaä, it was the first manga I ever bought. I’m pretty sure Miyazaki worked on it all by himself. And he worked on it for over a decade, while making movies at the same time which is honestly impressive.

I still use a 5 dollar sketchbook I bought a few years ago, from a store which doesn’t even exist anymore.

This is basically me. I’m always afraid to start expensive sketchbooks cause I’m afraid of screwing up on the first page. Cheaper sketchbooks isn’t as much of a problem.

I don’t even really see any benefits from it. Like if you know someone well enough for both of you to actually want to have a conversation over the phone, you probably already know their phone number or at least their Discord or something.

The actual process of drawing something and putting all the pieces together is really fun to me. To the point where I feel almost sad that it's over when the drawing is finished. AI art simply cannot replicate that. The human element is so important with art.

Authors are not "content creators". "Content" is the stuff that's in your pocket at the end of the day. It's what's on the spam email you delete or the ad material that gets shoved in your mailbox and you recycle. Art requires purpose, intelligence, curiosity, emotion, memory, soul and heart.
