He’s looking good. No longer cub like. Looks like an adult. About fully grown and looking fantastic in its almost complete winter coat. @staffswildlife.bsky.social @staffsmammalgroup.bsky.social

Back from a long weekend in Wales. While there, the first Brown Shrike recorded in Wales was reported. It involved a 100 mile round trip into Pembrokeshire. It was worth it. We arrived at the location and after 4 hours of searching we found the Brown Shrike. It’s a first for me too. #BrownShrike

It's been a while, but I did a bit of Phonescoping. Considering distance I'm pleased with how this turned out. Meadow Pipits. iPhone 15 Max Pro through Swarovski ATS65HD

Up close and personal profile shot. This cub has been easy to identify with its rogue long white whisker.

September sees Fox cubs become more independent and reach their adult size. They start to compete for and establish their own territories. They will soon disperse from their parent’s territory to find their own. @staffsmammalgroup.bsky.social #wildlife #foxes
