The only artifice on display is the intelligence of the individual passing off this excrement as if it were their own.
Artificial Intelligence is clearly only used by those without Actual Intelligence.
Once cannot expect a robot to *create*—nor, it seems, the person who employs the machine.

But the observation of people is a useful tool. It not only affords the writer confirmation that the characters he creates are real (as if that were necessary!) but it also reinforces, on a periodic basis, the writer's decision to live alone or perhaps with a small dog.

*I've said it on many occasions: I find research to be a lazy pasttime. A writer is a creator of fictions, and thus should be able to convince his readers without having to resort to paltry facts. Research is merely the author demanding that reality write a portion of his work.
Lazy and unnecessary.
