I’m an atheist. I think all religion is is nonsense but DJT makes me think that maybe there is a devil and he is it. I cannot understand how the Chistian-right worship him.

Hitler did the same thing in 1934. The Hitler oath replaced the previous one that swore loyalty to the German state. It obligated all members of the Wehrmacht to risk their lives at any time for Hitler, effectively tying their loyalty to him personally rather than to the constitution or the nation
