I think the mom was behaving poorly but she didn't have an outlet for her grief so she latched on too closely to Macy. I recommend this book a lot. I think this was the first book after Someone like you that didn't have a crazy age gap so I feel better recommending it #bookreview 4/5

Love the Wish crew, good side characters Her mom and sister were compelling as well. The romance was great, and it actually had realistic obstacles. Save for the misunderstanding towards the end.Her mom being controlling was realistic but it didn't cross to a line of feeling abusive. 3/4 #bookreview

background justifies it tho. She's traumatized but isn't given the support. I understood most of her decisions throughout the book. Her co dependency on Jason, her isolation, her want for adventure. Great character, despite being a lil passive. #bookreview 2/4
