that's unfortunate. Still Linux runs on a potato without the android bloat. Gimme a couple gigs of ram (the 2024 anbenic had 1 gig), and I bet a good rom could come out of this.

agree 100% on purely the LLM itself. LLMs are just text in text out functions. No long term storage, no background threads working to emit anything on its own without human intervention.
The system that uses it and supplies those pieces would be closer to consciousness.

How about a larger context, a background thread with prompt based on news, social media, environmental sensors, and something like an MCP server with access to long term storage based on keywords and conversation summaries? Seems like they'd be a little closer to conscious?
