Such a fantastic game, my team lost but everyone had a blast and it was competitive through out.
We usually play with 4 but had the opportunity to play with 6. I recommend you play it if you ever get the chance.

So we played Defenders of Grimhelm last night and it was not one of my favorites if I'm honest.
It's a tower defense game with spells, monsters
Art was a bit too cartoony, gameplay underwhelming, and the mechanics left a lot to be desired.
Friends rated it a 6 I'd say 4.

In an effort to play more solo games I am playing Gateway Uprising. It's a deck building area control game.
It has fantastic art and really great gameplay. This is a mod by someone on Bgg.

Just got my butt kicked by Gate. I don't normally play during the week but I got the urge.
Gate is a Jason Glover game and he has some fantastic small tin games (Gate, Tin Helm, Tin Realm)
You can grab them at
www.thegamecrafter.com
Maybe I will next game

A friend introduced me to Flip 7 and I was like I don't want to play that. As I usually stay away from lighter games.
But I really enjoyed it, well finally its back in stock. Grabbed on Amazon for 7 - 8 bucks, you should try it.
Absolutely worth it at that price!

So we played Uprising Curse of the Last Emperor last night, and we had a blast this game is amazing.
It's a fantasy 4x Co op game with a fantastic dark setting, amazing art, and lots of army management.
There is of course magic, monsters, and building your settlements and army.

Someone sent me a copy of The Crows of Coppershell Bay a tiny tin solo game by Paul Stapleton (Pauper's Ladder)
It's a solo adventure game in that same world of Pauper's Ladder. You borrowed money from the crows and you need to pay it back.
You decide how to do that.

With the Tariffs and how it's going to affect Board games. Take this as an opportunity to play some of those unplayed games instead of backing new crowd funded games.
We all get caught up with what's new, what's hot when it makes more sense to play what you already have.
For me HoMM3

So I bought Maximum Apocalypse from someone on Bgg and I realized I prefer buying used to new.
Yeah there is a risk in buying used, but you can find some amazing deals that way.
Do you guys buy used games or only new? I'm curious as to who buys used vs new only.

Just refunded the first of many backed kickstarted games. I am not paying those ridiculous tariffs.

Next on my list is Cryptic Explorers.
It's a 1 vs many. The concept is corporations have found a way into the realm of death and want to steal the secrets of magic.
They send in teams to recover them knights, werewolves etc.
Death won't stand for that and fights back.

Much like my sex life these games remain untouched and unplayed.
The first is #7thCitadel a fantastic follow up to 7th Continent. I was so excited for this but now just sits unloved on my shelf. Maybe with the idiocy going on with tariffs I will be buying less games and will get to it

So let's see we explored an ice cave and were attacked by the undead.
Uncovered an invasion of Kobolds lead by a strong mysterious leader and repelled it.
Was fun lot of fighting though, so less exploring.

Playing some #WitchCraft fantastic solo game, with amazing art and compelling game play.
I don't play many solo games, but I do enjoy this one. I suspect I prefer interacting with my friends more than playing solo.

Unless you are a collector I always advocate to people to sell the old games they don't play. It's a good way to get funds to buy new games.
I use Facebook marketplace to sell games, I only sell locally, for more expensive items I do sell on ebay, but there are risks

One of my favorite, euro games on the market #DungeonDegenerates it promotes such a chill vibe.
I always have a relaxed, and soothing time when I play this. Maybe it's the use of bland colors, or the mechanics I find relaxing.
What are your fave euros?

I don't think I've been more indifferent in regards to receiving a Kickstarter game.
The app that is necessary to run the game isn't available yet.
But it was packaged well and arrived safely, so that's something.
Just a general feeling of #Meh in regards to the game.

I am a huge fan of adventure games, and one of my favorites is the Hexplore It series.
Create a character, level up explore the world, defeat the big bad. Such an enriching experience.
Also I'd advocate for Hexplore It Valley of the Dead King if any of them.
Check it out

So last we helped an old lady with a weird neighbor, delivered heart medicine to a horse, explored a tower, and fought some goblins, slime monster, and a poisonous hyena snake thing.
It was an adventurous day with loads of gallavanting. We also hit level 8.
Fun

A fantastic small box game, an rpg/adventure game.
In this you are villagers fleeing the invading army, hoping to make it to the city and the protection it offers.
What is interesting there are two separate boxes with different paths. Great sewers and Weeping caves.

I have a deep abiding love of adventure games. #Runbound is such an amazing example of this.
You have an antagonist, stop the dragon for example. You have to go out level up, gear up, put out fire, and become strong enough to overcome the primary conflict that scenario.
Love it!

Question for you guys, are there any games or designers you'll buy stuff unquestionably?
I'd say Rob Lemon and his Dark Venture games I'm locked in, he come out with anything else and I'm in.
Who's that for you, if anyone?

So we cleansed the church, searched an island, and hunted down a savage pig beast for money.
Some fun combats and interesting events. It's not my favorite campaign game (too much fluff, hate some of the combat mechanics) but I think it's going to eventually be #1 on BGG.

Masnorra it's a fantastic light and fast dungeon crawler with dice allocation and randomized dungeon tiles.
Reason why this game wasn't more popular were dice enemy. You roll a certain color dice and what ever come up on the dice is what you fought.
Still a fun game easy to learn.

Played a solo game, so I played Dark Venture: Battle of the Ancients.
Here is the gist, magic apocalypse, everything is weird, & freaky factions fighting for supremacy in scenario games, or racing for win via points.
Amazing vibrant colorful world and fantastic game. 🤓
