As a hospice chaplain, I work with people who die—it’s inherent to the work itself. What I find intriguing is the relationship one forms with death and dying, which can, strangely enough, be described as a profound mundanity.

Following Jesus is activism.

Fandom is another matter entirely. You can do that relatively safely.

But following Jesus? Taking up the cross? That’s good trouble, beloved.
