GenXer raised by the public library & PBS. The Day The Earth Stood Still taught me: 1-Scientists are heroes 2-Sharing knowledge serves us all 3-When “authority” is petty, work around it 4-Greed is ugly 5-Ignorance breeds fear 6-Fear makes us stupid
He’s not stepping aside; he wasn’t invited to participate. He raised a stink about deserving to be included, but, his argument was unconvincing.

With the amount of Entemann’s and Sara Lee I’m stress eating, it’s hard to believe they missed.

Are you sure it’s not Amendment Nine and Three-Quarters? No one can see it, but when Trump runs unconstitutional orders through it, they magically come through on the other side as if the Constitution is irrelevant.

A couple mornings ago, CNBC let Jim Cramer yammer on about reading Death by China again, and he encouraged others to read it. He said Peter Navarro is “more cogent than you might think” (regardless of “Ron Vara”). It ruined my breakfast.

I switched to watching Opening Bell on Bloomberg TV.

As kids, we threw that word about like confetti. They were pariahs, totally segregated at school: separate busses at separate times, no cafeteria (lunch in the classroom), no school events. Ugly consequences for all of us. Later, we did better & I thought we killed the word. I hate hearing it again.

Exactly. We just said they were awkward or weird (or the r-word). I can armchair diagnose at least half a dozen kids from my school days who were probably on the spectrum, by today’s standards, but were either diagnosed with a generic learning disability, or had no diagnosis at all.

I love “happy dog face”. It always makes me smile back.

I swear to dog, if I had a small child, I’d be looking for daycare fully staffed by drag queens. It’s really the only safe choice.

Sadly, my appointment got dissed.

I know this makes it difficult for visually impaired folks to safely use the crosswalk. But, I still love whoever is doing it.

Google took $$ to put phishing above real PayPal site (also paid). AND the fake login is good enough to fool Apple's Passwords app into providing real site credentials.

So be wary & rely on good sense more than tech safeguards.

BTW, the charge was legit and my new password is super complex.

Ok. No matter the agency’s name, being on a government watch list is probably never going to be a good thing for anybody. The government isn’t always meticulous about keeping innocent people off of their lists, or removing them when the error has been reported.

Hmm. Our airport security woes started with the 2nd trip we took after 9/11 (pre-Xmas 2001). Oct security was normal. In Dec, she was pulled aside without explanation & again on Jan return. That agent said her name was on the list. It happed every domestic & international trip until she was 18.

Watching 80s videos breaks my brain a little, because I remember them being “so totally awesome” at the time.

The 9 to 5 music video hasn’t aged well, but the song is still awesome.

Dolly is such a great storyteller.

Kentucky in 2017. FWIW, she also retained her right to vote, though she couldn’t manage to fill out a ballot, so I never took her to the polls.

I was my mother's guardian & conservator due to senile dementia issues. She was prone to sudden angry outbursts and she often threatened to get her rifle or "slit your throat" over imagined slights. Court revoked her rights to make money/health decisions, but she retained the right to own guns.

One bad debate performance (while sick) aside, I’d still put money on Biden beating Trump in any cognitive test.
