I was watching Killed by Lightning last night and was thinking about this. If the US is lucky enough to get a president that is altruistic and actually believes in bettering the country, they are destroyed. James Garfield, Abraham Lincoln, John F Kennedy to name a few.

There are some great stories. People wouldn't keep coming back for 30 years if there weren't. Several of the primarchs have stories of deep tragedy and familial trauma; Angron, The Lion, Ferus Manus, Perturabo.
