Frame, Mia Goth is mesmerising. She steals every scene she is in. She is electric on screen, and say what you will about the sequel Maxxxine, Mia Goth is pure magic. Maxine Minx and Pearl are icons (for me at least). Thumbs held way up.

The time period was well rendered and the sleaze was dripping from every scene. It’s got great kills and an amazing villain in Pearl, which after seeing the next film, really makes her one to remember.
I went in to this mainly because I was a bit of a fan of Jenna Ortega but, from her first

This one is just pure magic for me. When I saw the trailer for this it immediately grabbed my interest, and I was intrigued by the premise and setting, I was in.
When I watched it, I was just sucked in (pun intended) to this world, and found all the characters likeable and just generally watchable

I watched the Vinegar syndrome release in 3D a few years ago on a big projector screen. It’s really well done, the 3D was pretty excellent, although a few shots will make you go a little cross eyed. Definitely check it out

Full of 80s cheese, some pretty decent special effects and a fabulous villain make it a really fun watch.

Seeing it again for the first time a few years ago, it really doesn’t disappoint. It’s a really fun film. Is it better than the original, maybe, maybe not. But it’s so different from the disco drenched original that it’s easy to enjoy them both on their own merits.

I saw this as a kid on VHS. I just had very distinct memories of falling asleep half way through (no disrespect to the film) and waking up during the Prom finale and Mary Lou’s demonic rise in over the top spectacular fashion, and being a little freaked out at what I was watching.
