I've rejected mom's invitation to the sea a million times, but they still showed to pick me up. I gave in because it's for her birthday and because it's tradition. Every summer to that old little seaside house, I never thought to take you. I hate myself for it , but right now I hate you more. I can't hear the waves, can't see the ocean, can't leave the shore or even stay for a while without getting so angry at you. Most days, I stayed inside stifling a cry.

Food, groceries, and other necessities ー apparently having everything delivered for months makes a pit of our finances. I could apologize to you a thousand times, but I figured I'll just learn how to cook as a first step. I completely underestimated the work it requires, and the mess it makes after. I think for now, I'll stick to simple egg dishes.

That Day, Last Week Entry # 9 Following what I wrote last week, I’ve been trying to force myself to go out. While I was clearing the overgrowth in the backyard, my old bike caught my eye. I was able to restore it with some WD-40 and just a little bit of elbow grease. I'm convinced this house could sustain anything. I couldn't walk before every familiar place started to project your image like a hologram, but maybe I could cycle and quickly pass like the wind. That way I don't linger in a place long enough to hear our highschool selves laughing. That's right. That should do nicely.
