Marina finds herself in Inkopolis after escaping the underground, lives her life as a secret Inkling, and meets pearl on the mountain (because she likes to go up there to relax from the hectics of her new life) and the story is about how they're both hiding something from each other, and romance

It takes place in the regular splatoon setting, Pearl gets bit and turns into one (they're very rare, most believe them to be fiction) and she doesn't believe she is one until she bites someone on accident, to where she flees to live in the mountains away from society. (1/2)

I also have a vampire AU for these two as a wip fanfic, I just haven't done much with it yet lol
